Extreme Masters Season III with WoW

Two seasons of the Intel Extreme Masters are over, both with Counter-Strike and WarCraft III as disciplines. In the new, third season of the lucrative tournament WarCraft III will be substitute by the popular MMORPG World of WarCraft.
The ESL published some changes about WarCraft III on the Intel Friday Night Games. Now they decided to dispose the well tried eSport title on the Extreme Masters, too. The new game will be the MMORPG World of WarCraft. Counter-Strike will be again the first title. Both games have respectable prize money, so the Intel Extreme Masters season III is endow with 750,000 US-Dollar.
Furthermore they published that they will be representing on the whole world. While in the last seasons the event was only in Europe and the Global Challenge in Los Angeles, this season tournaments in Europe, Asia and America are planned. In Europe and America will be continental final matches, in China and South Korea there will be individual country final. The worldwide final will be take place on the CeBIT 2009 in Hannover. The Extreme Masters III will start this year during the Games Convention.
