The 16-year-old Terran player has his roots in Korea, while living in the United States. After the downfall of his former team Quantic Gaming, he got offered a personal sponsorship with Razer, also a proud sponsor of mousesports. While Illusion continued his career as a solo player, our StarCraft II division was eager to pick up this talented, young Terran player to strengthen the StarCraft II roster.
After both Grzegorz "MaNa" Komincz and Dennis "HasuObs" Schneider renewed their contracts in 2012, Chris "Illusion" Lee will be the fifth player on the active roster, with Gabriel "HeroMarine" Segat and Jonne "Protosser" Sotala remaining in the team.
Illusion will be on air on Monday, February 18th for a special episode of mouz Trap with James "Kaelaris" Carrol, Dennis "HasuObs" Schneider aswell as Grzegorz "MaNa" Komincz, discussing the recent pickup of the US Terran player. The show will start at approx. 20:00 CET (14:00 EST) and will be available as a VOD aswell.
"We are very happy to welcome Chris to our team today. He is one of the most talented players on the American continent as well as overall in the foreign scene", mousesports StarCraft II Coordinator Markus "MaX" Kemper said. "Chris perfectly fits into our player profile as we are always looking for talented and highly ambitious players. He is just 16 years old but he can already look back to numerous tournaments, a stay in a Korean team house and a lot of experience in general. We'll help him to stabilize his performance and to do the next step in his career as a pro gamer. We are looking forward to a succesful and long lasting cooperation."
Chris "Illusion" Lee: "Thanks so much to mousesports for believing in me enough to present me this opportunity. I look forward to proving my worth to them by having continuing success in NA and around the world. Thanks to the fans for supporting me over the past few months while I was teamless. We have now found a new home in mousesports. Special thanks to all sponsors BenQ, GeIL, Razer and Thortech for making this possible. mouz fighting!"
