League of Legends reformation for 2013

Written by René at 31.12.2013 - 14:00

As of today, we will no longer be holding two seperate League of Legends divisions anymore. We've created a new team to represent the red mousesports jerseys at all official events in the upcoming year.

The original mousesports League of Legends division decided to disband before ESL Pro Series Finals, but agreed to compete one last time to win their first ESL Pro Series title in League of Legends. They've also faced competition at the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne where they've placed 4th in their group and weren't able to advance to the playoffs. The former team members will split ways and seek for new challenges in other teams, except Roland "Prothana" Runge, who will stay in mousesports to compete in 2013.

The second LoL team has been competed under the tag of Mighty Midgets before joining forces with mousesports in the beginning of December. Three weeks later, they've competed in the THOR tournament in Sweden aswell as several online tournaments without success. The team will continue to strive for success but not under the mousesports banner anymore.

Both teams have been released and won't compete for mousesports anymore in the future. Roland "Prothana" Runge will be the only remaining player from the old lineup to compete with mousesports in 2013, alongside the likes of Joey "YoungBuck" Steltenpool and Jerome "kujaa" Negretti. Joining them will be Ilyas "enVision" Hartsema aswell as Roman "Warhunter" Irzaev. The team has already qualified for the official League of Legends Season 3 Online Qualifier by placing in the top ten of the LoL 5x5 Ladder.

We're happy to have a powerful League of Legends team as we're heading into 2013 and wish all former mousesports LoL players a successful future in their gaming career.
