Qualified for E LEAGUE Major 2017

From mousesports on

Mousesports has successfully qualified for the E LEAGUE Major 2017, happening January in Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. The team's 3-1 record granted mousesports the fifth consecutive major participation since 2015.

After bootcamping for an entire week in the team's headquarter in Cologne, mousesports went to Atlanta after a struggling performance at IEM Oakland and the E LEAGUE season 2 playoffs, looking to recover just in time for the last big event of 2016, the E LEAGUE major qualifier.

Right from the start, mousesports was left with a tough challenge, especially after dropping the first match 16-6 to HellRaisers on Train. A performance none of the players were happy with, was a wake-up call to Nikola "Niko" Kovac and his teammates, as he stated in an interview after the event.

Following the loss to HellRaisers were three one-sided matches against Team Spirit (16:5), TyLoo (16:3) and Immortals (16:3) in the next days, to qualify for the E LEAGUE CS:GO Major 2017.

Especially newcomer Christian "lowel" Garcia Antoran showcased one of his best performances in his young career, as he leads HLTV.org's rating table, with teammate Niko beeing the runner-up. With a total round difference of 53:27 and a K/D difference of +79 over four matches, mousesports ist the #1 rated team (Rating 1.20) of the event by HLTV.org, followed by E LEAGUE season 2 champion OpTic Gaming (Rating 1.11).
