aTTaX at the national final

In the last night the voting ended at 12 a.m. which was supposed to decide on the participance of aTTaX at the national finals for the World Cyber Games 2008. All users who have an account at the WCG homepage were able to vote.
The decision of the WCG organizers was disputed because the decision was rolled off on the community. A definite decision was expected which should clear whether Alternate aTTaX should get a ticket for the WCG Grand Final 2008 without being present at the award ceremony. The rules and standards say that aTTaX must not get the slot if they reach the final and are not present at the award ceremony. Thanks to the support of the community an exception was made for the players so they can participate at the WCG national final as well as at the ESWC Grand Final.

UPDATE: As announced there will be an exception for n!faculty as well: The clan announced that some teams which are not known at the moment will not participate so faculty can participate at the ESWC Grand Final. To be punctually in San José they would have the same problem as aTTaX. But the WCG organization announced that n!faculty needn't be present at the award ceremony if they are able to win the final at the Games Convention.
