Sadly not only the community votes are deciding, the complete vote is determined by the community votes (50%), successes of the last year (20%) and the last 30% by the continental cup commitee which consists of eight people from the eSports, entertainment and media sector. So players like Happy and XlorD were not able to reach the top three ranks although they were on the first and third rank in the community voting.
Nevertheless it is not clear how the performances of the last year and the commitee voting are calculated because a team like e-STRO was at the second rank at the Extreme Masters in this year but they had no real success in the last year. They were the last but one in the commitee voting but they can be found as one of the three top three Counter-Strike teams of Team East. So there is much space for speculations.
