Due to not-so-good results that possibly have failed their expectations and losing Tino "tihOp" Puumala to roccat, a roster change seemed to be inevitable. Aalto is not new to the scene as the player has played for CMAX.gg and 69N-28E before. Unlike Aalto, Toroi is apparently new to the international scene. The newcomer who used to play for EGC was spotted in Assembly Winter 2007 and was said to have played really good hence the reason for the pick up.
With this move, Excello had to release Antti "Shiri" Makinen in the team. Makinen was said to be having his army service this summer and thus hindering his motivation to play.
Excello's lineup now consists of:
Janne "Kuppi" Kuparinen
Konsta "kookas" Kaisla
Matti "SpikeOne" Jarvinen
Samu "plastE" Aalto
Miikka "driim" Toroi
Statement from janne "Kuppi" Kuparinen:
After tihOp left us for roccat we felt that something has to be done. We have been playing really bad in last 3 tournaments and as a team we decided change our lineup more than just replacement for tihOp. We decided to remove Antti ”Shiri” Mäkinen from our lineup, because he didnt have any motivation to play CS, especially when he gonna have armyduty coming in this summer. We had lots of teamchats about the future and questions like ”who is our new player or in-game leader” was rolling everyones mind. Our conclusion is Samu ”plastE” Aalto and Miikka ”dRiim” Toroi for those 2 empty spots in our lineup. Now we have been practicing two weeks 2-6 maps per day and summer 2008 looks pretty good for us.
