German Protoss player and current EPS leader Dennis "HasuObs" Schneider managed to net yet another tournament victory by winning the Windows 8 Launch Day Cup in Krefeld, Germany. Coming from the lowerbracket he defeated GoOdy in the Grand Final.

Twelve current ESL Pro Series Winter 2012 StarCraft II players, including Dennis "HasuObs" Schneider, have been invited by Take TV to compete in the Windows 8 Launch Day Cup. All three Protoss players managed to advance to the second round, where HasuObs got knocked down the the lowerbracket by losing 1-2 to Socke.

 

In the lowerbracket, HasuObs first defeated DarK.FoRcE 2-0 in a PvZ and afterwards IeSF champion monchi in a PvP with two to one in mapscores, before he had to face Socke once again who meanwhile lost to GoOdy in the winnerbracket final. HasuObs continued his great performance in the lowerbracket, overwhelming Socke 2-0 to advance to the Grand Final to face GoOdy.

 

GoOdy, who was ahead 1-0 in maps, since HasuObs came from the lowerbracket had close to no chance in the Grand Final. Dennis "HasuObs" Schneider won four maps in a row to win the Windows 8 Launch Day Cup aswell as 1,000 Euro in prize money.
