He is one of the most famous eSport gamer of Germany and in the many years as pro gamer he collected a lot of titles and awards. Christian “Blizzard” Chmiel is without doubt one of the most successful Germans in the virtual world. Over many seasons he was the poster player of mousesports and so he was instrumental doing on the success of the Berlin concern.
Now a central figure of mousesports is back! His mission: He is the link between the pro gamer and the fans to offer a better communication and bring you a better insight of the background of our stars. Furthermore Blizzard will be the official substitute of out Counter-Strike team because he is a big enrichment with his skills.
Back to home – indeed you was all the time a part of mousesports but how does it feel to go back to your “family” after one year?
Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel: Of course it is a wonderful feeling! By the long time with mousesports there is a special connection between the clan and me. Even when played for another team I hoped for mousesports! So now I am more than happy to be a part of the development of mousesports!
The contact between the management, the CS team and you was never broken. Now you have also an advisory function for mousesports and for the CS team you are the substitute. Are you a happy about the function in the CS team?
Blizzard: Basically it is not my main function in mouz. But of course I will help if they need me or my opinion in some points. Besides I think that the CS team works perfect like they play at the moment and so I think they need no help!
Primarily your engagement will be part of the journalism because especially your new function is the new challenge for you: As a link between the community and the clan you have an important position when it is a matter of presenting mousesports and his teams to the public...
Blizzard: ... to make mouz more attractive to the user and fans. As mouz fan you demand a great deal and i will try to fulfill the not gaming part. That means I will treat the wishes and requests of the user to bring the best possible result in teamwork with the user. Over all my function is to raise the satisfaction in matters of mousesports.
Concentrated professional competence meets editorial design: How the fans can benefit from your work?
Blizzard: As good as possible I will hand on my knowledge and my experience from my career as a pro gamer, try to explain the complex Counter-Strike as simple as possible, explain coherences etc.

Photo: www.readmore.deYou were a part of the ESL Pro Series when it was new. Many changes (positive and negative) you have experience. Are you satisfied with the development of the gaming scene in Germany?
Blizzard: With the development of the gaming scene you can be satisfied. I think back to my first Friday Night Game (FNG) which was in a cellar of a café in the Futurepoint in Cologne and compare it to the actual FNG event where the gamer play on a modern stage with a big audience, so you see that the eSport in Germany has developed. In this development the ESL but also the german clans like mouz, SK and mTw played a decisive role because with their professional manner they were possible to satisfied concerns from the eSport. I think the eSport has even more potential and can even grow and so we can expect a lot of eSport in future.
What a feeling is it to be not a active gamer and be on the server but cover about games and what happenn?
Blizzard:I played for five years on events around the world and have seen a lot of impressive things. But sometime there is the moment to stop the one thing and start a new thing. On the one hand this is sad one the other hand it is nice. On the one hand I am sad that the old is over because I have fun all the time, but on the other hand I am thankful that I was allowed to experience this time and that I can concentrate on other things, things I have disregard.
What will you do with your new ex game and train time beside the work for mousesports?
Blizzard: My primary target is my study. In the rest of my free time I will still do useless things, this is what I can do best!
How would you describe mousesports in a few words?
Blizzard: An affair of the heart. (smile)
