Today the VOIPlayArena starts in Germany. It is known as spelarenan.se in Sweden for some years. Via the VOIPlayClient and a very elaborate webpage the creating of gather- training and laddermatches will be easier than before. For the start there is a Dreamhack lottery which gives some players the chance to travel to the Dreamhack Summer and to participate at that tournament.

Also our Counter-Strike players will play at circa 8 p.m. on the public servers today. Afterwards they will participate at a gather match where you have the chance to duel yourself with them. Kapio, Tixo and gore will put the tool through its paces and will give us a short report on their experiences with VOIPlay at the beginning of the next week.

An overview on the features:

Platform for gather-, training- and tournament matches Before you had to use different platforms for playing gather-, training- or tournament matches and you could never use one platform for all things. From now on this belongs to the past. The VOIPlay Arena connects all players to one system. It is totally equal if you want to play a fun gather with friends or if you have to play a training match with your team. VOIPlay offers you a high comfort at every time and eases the event for all players. As soon as you join a gather you will automatically connect to a voice channel with your team. A gather only starts if all players hit the ready button and at the half-time the players automatically change their teams. After the match you get your statistics and data and you can inform yourselves on your performances.

Voice tool A further intuitive feature of VOIPlay Arena is the in-house voice tool. Hitherto you always had to have several programs on your computer to communicate with your mates. Thereby not only seeking a server was difficult but also finding a program which all players had and were able to handle was hard. With the integrated voice tool these problems belong to the past. With entering a gather you automatically enter its voice channel and you can instantly communicate with them. The annoying search of a server also drops out because you will use special VOIPlay voice servers.

XP- and skill level system Only playing is boring, the XP- and skill level system offers you an alternation. With a mix of activity and real skill you can gather your experiences which will be shown on your profile. So it is easier for other players to estimate your skill. By solving little tasks you can additionally gather experience points and medals.

Anti cheating If you talk about Counter-Strike you unavoidably have to talk about cheaters. The VOIPlay Arena shows no mercy against cheaters and takes disciplinary actions against cheaters and cheater software. The in-house gaming client has an integrated anti cheat program which notices when an illegal program is executed. Of course VOIPlay cannot guarantee that the platform is unfettered by cheaters but the program is under constant development and also the transparency for the community is given.

Match analyzer The match analyzer is a huge feature , which offers you  - as said in its name - the possibilty to analyze your matches exactly. All rounds of a match can be reproduced and can be watched at all time. In a seperate overview you can see at all time which players are alive, how much hit points they have and where the bomb is at this moment. A further possibility to have a look on the gaming style of your opponent is the thermal image mode.  All events of the game will be summarized in an overview. So you can see in which sections the players have been especially long and where grenades have exploded often. Also you can tick off some players and so you have the possibilty to see for example only the actions of one single player.
