Dennis 'HasuObs' Schneider
Age: 19
Nationality: German
Race: Undead
Although HasuObs is still young, he is a part of the german WarCraft III scene since quite a long time. He was already playing WC3, together with his 2on2 mate Pun1sher, in 2003 for the well-known german Clan a-Losers. When mousesports.WC3 was founded in 2004, Dennis was one of the first players amongst others such as Spell, Jan and dArk.
After Spell went inactive HasuObs did what his former teammate has always been refused to: Winning the ESL Pro Series in WarCraft III against the six-time Champion miou. Last December he managed to win his second EPS Championship in a row and is still on his way to the top.
NGL Finals were the first time you saw ToD as a teammate. People say he is behaving like a diva. What is your opinion about him and how do you experience the teamspirit?
We all as a team have no problems with ToD. He is indeed sometimes behaving like a diva, but he only wants to play under the best possible circumstances. For example there wasn't enough light and it was a little bit too warm at the NGL ONE finals, but the Orga took care about it and everything was fine.
We are talking a lot between the matches, exchanging tactics and experiences, and motivating ourselves to perform at our best.
Where do you see yourself in the future? Will you move inside of germany or maybe even join ToD and SaSe in China?
I'd like to spend some time in China, but you have to live in germany to be allowed to participate in the EPS. I will move to Cologne in the near future to begin my studies. I don't know yet if that will affect my gaming career.
How do you see your own position inside the team? Amongst players like ToD and Fly you are rather living a shadowy existence.
During international events it is usual to seed the best players of a team, therefore it's no problem for me to sit on the „bench“. I get enough playing time and i'm doing well most of the time. I'm focusing on the EPS, two championships in a row are a nice thing, maybe i'll get a third.
How do you experience communication inside the team? Do you practice together or is everyone mostly playing on his own?
Due to the fact that SaSe and ToD are living in China it's not easy to find a host for games. But as i already told, we are exchanging experiences and we are preparing mental for our next opponent. During clanwars the mood is always well and i'm happy that the teamspirit developed this way.
Which goals do you have for this year? Of course a third EPS championship, but what about the team?
Indeed, a third EPS championship would be a nice thing. We want to make our way to the WC3L finals and if everyone can show up, we may even win the season.
Do you have other hobbys besides WarCraft III?
I'm spending a lot of my time with my girlfriend, going to concerts and being out at the weekends. But i'm not doing that much sport at the moment :)
Describe a usual day in your life.
I'm currently working as fulltime gamer, therefore i wake up at midday and start trying to find somebody for practice, which often is not that easy. Most european players only want to play 2-3 matches, but i think practice is starting to be effectice if you play a minimum of ten games.
This means that i'm always looking for opponents or watching replays and livegames during afternoon and early evening. Afterwards i'm spending time doing other things.
